Dial-up Connection and broadband internet connection.

DIAL-UP CONNECTION

Two types of dial-up connection:

• Conventional Dial-up 

        To connect to the Internet, your computer dials its modem                 and connects to a modem attached to computer belonging to             our ISP.                  

•  ISDN ( Integrated Service Digital Network ) 

        1.Typically uses two phone lines transfer data.

        2. ISDN requires a special ISDN modem.

        3.ISDN requires a special ISDN modem.

        4.Characteristics of ISDN:  Faster, but pricey

                                  Doesn’t tie up phone line
